Terms and Conditions

At the Cloth Spot we aim to provide you with the prettiest and most cuddliest spots of fabric that can be sent to your WAHM of choice or to you to sew up a storm and cuddle.

Not all WAHMs allow SYOF (Send Your Own Fabric), so we have made a list of those that do to help you out.

How it works

We import some stunning fabric and hold a stocking (sale) once a month where we post pictures of it so that you have the chance to buy a spot of it. You then claim that fabric in the comments and an invoice will be sent to you.

Once you have paid for the fabric you will receive a receipt of payment and your fabric will be ready to ship. You must then advise where you would like the said fabric sent.

We also provide the opportunity for you to preorder some locally printed fabric that is exclusively a Cloth Spot design. Preorders will be open for a set amount of time where you can place your order. This will all be done through our website.

It will then close and you will be sent an invoice. Once all invoices of the preorder round is closed it will be sent in for printing. Printing can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks.

Once we get the fabric we cut and sent it to you or your WAHM of choice. Please allow for 5-10 working days for this, while we generally manage to do this alot sooner, this is the time frame we work around.

Shipping

We send fabric to quite a few WAHMs and yours can be added to their bag and sent through to them once it is full.

Should you share their bag, you may be asked to contribute part of the shipping fee. Parcels are sent to WAHMs using Fastway or Aramex but the shipping of fabric is not insured, so if something happens to your cuddly piece of fabric/s once it's left our head quarters, in transit or once at the WAHM of your choice, we do not accept any liability for damaged or the loss of goods.

Should your fabric require some urgency or the WAHM of your choice doesn’t have an open bag with us, you are welcome to pay a courier fee for us to ship it on its own to your required destination, with Fastway Blue bags at the cost of R85.00. You are also welcome to pay for your own courier company to collect your fabric from our Head Quarters during office hours with prior arrangement.

Please note: we only ship every second week, should you want your packages shipped you need to indicate when on our bi-weekly shipping thread on our Facebook Group (search the word 'shipping' on the group to help you find the thread quicker)

Spot Sizing

A spot is a portion of a yard which is generally around 46cm by 56cm (18''x22"), however due to the different fabric suppliers and printers we make use of as well as their own scales of measurement sometimes differing from our own, these sizes and measurements are NOT guaranteed.

Local (preordered) spots are generally larger in size - these can be around 65x45cm - however these vary depending on the fabric base chosen.

Production

We only sell fabric, and therefore do not take any part in the production of your fabric and cannot advise on how much fabric you would need for a particular item.

Each WAHM has their own production fee for fabrics you'd like sewn up into something cuddly and to die for. You also need to note that some items of clothing require more than one spot to sew up, so check in with your WAHM to find out exactly how many spots you would need to sew up the item of your choice.

We take no responsibility in organizing the production of your items and encourage you to communicate with your WAHM directly about what it is you would like made.

While you do see images of products available, these are not made by us, these are produced by some amazing WAHM's or are fabric mock ups for you to visualize the endless possibilities with these gorgeous fabrics.

You may not distribute these images anywhere.

Pre-orders

We also provide the opportunity for you to preorder some locally printed fabric that is exclusively a Cloth Spot design. Preorders will be open for a set amount of time where you can place your order. This will all be done through our website.

It will then close and you will be sent an invoice. Once all invoices of the preorder round is closed it will be sent in for printing. Printing can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks.

Once we get the fabric we cut and sent it to you or your WAHM of choice. Please allow for 5-10 working days for this, while we generally manage to do this alot sooner, this is the time frame we work around.

We will not refund clients due to issues with wait times.

International Preorders (uncommon)

A Pre-order is an order placed for an item that has not yet been released. The suppliers give strict deadlines as to when all orders need to be in where they then send their designs in for printing and once cut sends it out for delivery.

PLEASE NOTE THAT INTERNATIONAL PREORDERS CAN TAKE ANYWHERE FROM 6-16 WEEKS TO BE SENT OUT.

It also then takes another week or two to arrive in South Africa and then another few weeks for it to be cleared by Customs. So this shouldn't be an option for you if you are not prepared to wait for the fabric to arrive.

We will not refund clients due to issues with wait times. Please note, that in order for a Pre-order to run successfully we need a minimum of 4 spots filled per group. Please note that you cannot pay for your spot until your group is filled and only once you've received confirmation that the group is full before the order round ends.
